Calamity trail - Montrose.

Post by in4aride »

All three of us had off so we took the Jeep and truck up to run calamity since Ash had not run it in her truck yet, or wheeled with new setup.
She slid off line on a big climb and busted a taillight. She took it well and laughed it off.
Last waterfall on exit I was too short and low and kept turtling so she had to winch me out. Her rears were digging in the soft sand instead of pushing the heavy front end up. A front locker would have helped her through the day but she did great otherwise and took strap same spot I did, and I’m double locked.
I’ll have more pics soon. Just cell shots for now.

Did she get into the body at all or was it just the tail light?

Either way, looks like a great way to spend a day and burn some old dino bones!

Just shattered the outer lens on the light. Missed the body. Which from the video is shocking.

Yeah nice and dry but not dusty. Once you broke surface on the trail the dirt underneath was damn.

Brother and I ran topless Sunday and it was nice and dry.
It’s been raining off and on today though.
