It's about time to rewrite the National Firearms Act of 1934. It's very outdated. Suppressors are not the equipment of assassins. They are popular with gun enthusiasts. It would be so nice to hunt without ear protection.

So true! I really hoped the HPA would pass but alas.
I read the other day if the tax was adjusted to inflation, $4000 a stamp!!!!
This is a step in the right direction, I hope.
I am going to give it a whirl next week when it is updated.

It's live.
If you ever used e-forms in the past you will need your old login info.
Take your time updating as it is a bit slow.
Hit buttons once :)
I am going to my LGS and file on something next week :)

All were supposed to be processed by June of this year. (The last time they did this it was a clusterfawk too)
A few friends got theirs, but not me...
Heard the .gov signed a big contract and that is taking priority over us working stiffs...

120 days on a silencer?
When was that (Seems like paper is over a year these days)
And yeah, even e-file is creeping up.
I was pretty excited to get my first at 96 days..
If I would have got my "free" one would be around 90 days in, but no such luck.

Gotcha!!!
Cool that you were one of the "outliers"
I did e-mail SilencerCo on my BOGO silencer and they said "It is ready to ship out. You should receive an e-mail soon from us."
We will see...

I have started the process today on my BOGO SilencerCo can.
Tax stamp paid
LGS will work with Silencer Shop and get that rolling.
Next week once all things are processed will start to verify it all. And get the e-mail from the ATF saying "start waiting" basically.
My guy said e-forms now a 6 to 8 month wait.... not the 96 days on my first one :(

What do you think about this? There has been a bipartisan bill submitted that would cut the wait time down to 90 days for suppressors and that sounds like a good deal and even has a chance of passing both because it has bipartisan sponsors and of course because, well....ya know, mo money.

The illegal and unconstitutional $200 tax stamp will still exist but the money will be redirected into a few different areas, some of which dont sound bad but 15% of it will now go directly to the ATF to help them do a shitty job. I am interested in hearing what others think about it. See the video below. Its only 4 or 5 minutes long.
