Actually you never asked "in my daily life"...
The answer is more than 3 in my daily/weekly life... all not vaccinated.
All believed the narrative spewed from the Right and many had #faithoverfear.
One even asked for an experimental treatment.... but it was too far along for her to get it.
They still passed, and her husband is left without his wife of close to 25 years.
And I am on the high ground with you easily Noah.

No, I asked how many people from your daily life have passed from Covid and you chose not to answer, though you have regularly inferred that it is an astronomically high number. Do I need to go first? I know 3 people who have died;
-My wife's grandmother, 96 years of age with advanced cancer and dementia. She had rona 3 weeks before she died and had made a full recovery, death certificate says Covid.
- 87 year old gentleman from church/school. Also had stage 5 cancer, hospitalized and never given any treatment other than intebation, who knows what would have happened if the hospital had tried just one of the many known effective therapies that don't fit the political narrative.
- 68 year old gentleman, died from a reaction to the Phizer vaccine

You really want to play the moral high ground card? Irony

I do understand what a pandemic is, the definition is actually quite easy to look up. While you are at it you might want to look up endemic.

Classic
I told you I know people that have died and you write it off as a joke.
It shows once again you do not understand at all what a pandemic is and you think you are above it.
It shows you don't have the emotional capacity either and that speaks once again volumes about you.
It shows you truly don't understand vaccines.. how many are 100% effective VERY few..
I love you throw around that number...99.75% tell that to the 10,000+ that have died here in CO and all the exhausted medical staff dealing with the folks and their prayer warriors.
Stay classy Noah...

noahfecks wrote:So, none then?

You are aware the 99.75% of people survive this virus right? And that number is heavily slanted toward a higher mortality rate because it ignores all unverified cases of rona. Omicron so far has a lower mortality rate than working on a movie with Alec Baldwin.
How many of those deaths could have been prevented if caregivers were allowed to administer known effective treatments that don't fit a particular political slant?

You understand that a real vaccination prevents reinfection right? I don't think you truly do.

Touche, and I missed that... I was wrong... see? That is easy to admit, but doesn't change my response.
Because I STILL KNOW people, more than 3... in my life that died in my daily life.
And you belittle science, you belittle facts and that is sad.
But Noah I missed that... I am man enough to admit when I am wrong and I speed read through your posts.

So... go on thinking you know more than doctors and nurses who deal on the daily with that percentage that are FILLING up the hospital beds and their families setting up GoFundMe's for their funerals.
That is real... I KNOW an ER Doctor and guess what? He deals with COVID on the daily... and most folks he see are unvaxed and too far along... and blame the hospital for their hopeless situation.
See he deals with accidents he can FIX, he can't fix someone like you getting a virus because they don't understand how virus's or vaccines work.

Again Noah I missed it.
Accept this apology.
That is the kind of man I am, willing to admit my mistakes.
But that doesn't mean you understand COVID or WHO I know who has died because they listened to liars.

The reality is that 99.75% of people like me don't need fixing when we get the rona, we get sick, we get well, and we move on. But please, keep spreading your fear and panic.

"The CDC studied 43 people infected with the variant, one of whom was hospitalized for two days, and found that the most commonly reported symptoms were cough, fatigue and congestion or a runny nose. More than three-quarters of the participants were fully vaccinated, and one-third of those people had also had booster shots, according to the CDC."

So, it's essentially a minor cold among mostly vaccinated people, but we should panic and get more shots.
I don't think many of us have to wonder why it goes ignored, and not just by members of this forum participating in this thread. That doesn't inspire people to feel forced to get jabbed. The other measures in place inspire that though. Watching the NFL and NBA "virus protocol" is pretty interesting right now.

I know one person in my daily life that has passed away "from covid". At least that's what we have been told killed her. She was a co-worker, morbidly obese with a slew of other health problems but covid is what killed her.

My friends who have died had that mentality too they were strong and didn't need to protect themself... now they have left behind family and children.

Has the fed gov mandated winter coats and fired people for not wearing one? I think not.

We keep being told by “experts” that we all need to be vaccinated to “stop the spread.” So why are the NFL, MLB and NHL delaying games because so many vaccinated players are testing positive? The vaccination rate is almost 100%. Hmmm…

You continue to push the narrative that contracting a Covid variant = a death sentence. The numbers show the exact opposite to be true.

So these throngs of people you know in your daily life that died of rona, were they generally healthy? Young or elderly? Obvious underlying health issues?

Sigh... I will push the narrative that a highly contagious virus MESSES up everything.
I will push the narrative that those who die a horrible death are in general, not vaccinated because they listen to Tucker and Sean and their ilk... who are vaxed. Irony right there.
Look to our hospitals and overworked staff and crowded ICU's. Doc and nurses aren't a 6 month program. Something you fail to acknowledge. Also you fail to acknowledge vaccines work.
The folks that I knew were average Americans, all ages. Male/female. Healthy/underlying issues.... just like you and me.

As you can see, Trump said that “the vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind.” Trump, surprise, surprise, took credit for the vaccine by saying, “I came up with a vaccine, with three vaccines.”

Just one more example of why some of us who are not sheeple don't believe everything or much of anything that the CDC or Dr. Fakie say.

To say this is a correction is laughable. They just can't keep up the scare tactics. Now they have reduced their claim that the new strain is responsible for 73.2% of new cases to 22.5%.

How do they even expect anyone to take them seriously?

First off Happy New Year to you and yours in 2022 Steve. I look forward to a year of discussion, agreements and disagreements.
And off the bat... BAM pivot to a different subject all together.
Mandatory minimums and the "boogey man"... Hollywood!!
Yes!!
So honestly I am not sure of what those liberal elites role was in this but I do now what the judge and victim's families said

The crash killed 24-year-old Miguel Angel Lamas Arellano, 67-year-old William Bailey, 61-year-old Doyle Harrison and 69-year-old Stanley Politano. Relatives of victims supported at least some prison time at his sentencing hearing.

Bailey's wife, Gage Evans, told The New York Times the driver's sentence shouldn't be commuted but said lawmakers should instead examine the sentencing laws.

https://abc7.com/rogel-aguilera-mederos ... /11373091/

What a R leader said...

State Sen. Bob Gardner, a Colorado Springs Republican who sits on the state’s year-old Sentencing Reform Task Force, said Tuesday that he’s looking into Aguilera-Mederos’ case.

“When I saw the story this morning, I thought it was worth making some inquiries of both prosecutors and defense counsel alike as to whether this is an anomaly, whether this is something we ought to deal with and, frankly, to see whether it is something as we’re doing our sentencing reform that could be addressed,” he said.

What a judge said...
The judge said during the sentencing hearing that he had no discretion to set a lesser prison term, though he would have liked to. One family member of a man who died in the fiery 28-car pileup in Lakewood said he did not want a life sentence for the truck driver.

https://coloradosun.com/2021/12/20/colo ... a-mederos/

Now to DeSantis and his wife...
Don't go to the Orange Bowl
Don't go to a megachurch with your wife while dealing with cancer... she may be immunocompromised... yes?
Let me know on this as an answer.
If you are OK with the amount of COVID in FL good. If I lived there I would not....

One thing that I haven't seen addressed that I've been thinking a lot about. Exactly how large is a 'rona virus? I know, I could google it and find out. But if I remember my high school science, viruses are pretty small. So, are they bigger or smaller than a fart molecule? I'm thinking smaller than a fart molecule, but again I didn't google that because I don't feel like it, although I know someone here will do it for me and point out the fallacy of my logic.

But, if a 'rona virus is smaller than a fart molecule, and I can smell a fart when I am wearing a mask.......

Yeah, sometimes I have juvenile thoughts. But still.

In reality, none of the masks in use are properly fitted to anyone's face, so you really aren't breathing through the filter anyway, it is just blowing in and out along the edges. I guess it keeps you from sending spittle particles into the face of the person you are talking to, but otherwise not much. Very very few people understand mask fitment and actually use them properly.

The Mayo Clinic has actually published a couple papers on the inefectiveness of masks and in particular, any mask that is not at least N95 quality one of which i posted in the original covid thread that was way back close to the beginning of the madness.

I also just read another story about another Mayo Clinic paper om MSN a week or so ago where they stated that cloth maaks like most people wear do absolutely nothing because once again, the virus is small enough to go right through even if you have it fitting correctly.

Far be it for our government or "doctor" fauci or the lying ass CDC to listen to science while preaching science though.

Just like the cold and the flu there's more than breathing it in to get it. Even a mask that could filter the particle wouldn't be effective because of all the face touching and improper fit as mentioned.

Watch that dumbass biden when he takes his cover off, he touches his face nearly every single time as soon as he pulls it off. I see people who wear masks out shopping doing the same thing, not keeping their hands off their faces. No mask is going to defeat that.

Yup, the article i posted from the Mayo Clinic was very specific in that even the N95 mask would only reach its optimal performance of stopping 95% if the mask was put on correctly, worn correctly and removed correctly.
