Is corona virus over?

Post by noahfecks »

What happened to the thread? Was it deleted to remove the reminder of all the lies and untruths that have been used to control the masses and the ineffective policies that centralized control and power?

This is reminiscent of how the death toll counters all went away the day after the vegetable took over, in spite of the fact that there were more deaths this year than last. I guess if you can't win in the arena of ideas, the next best play is to remove the history of all your failings and lies.

Is the rona is no longer a relevant topic? If not I would like my rights back please.

Maybe it never was a pandemic at all.

Yeah it is a pandemic of the unvaccinated... those who listen to their friend Doctor Meme.
They are far and away the ones dying, spending their last days filling up the ICU, while their families and friends wonder why they listened to Tucker...

CDC says:
Current data from South Africa — which had some of the first detected Omicron cases — indicate that Omicron is causing milder infections than other forms of the coronavirus…

Early studies suggest that people who’ve had Covid-19 or are fully vaccinated become widely susceptible to infection from Omicron…

But let’s keep pushing more shots - because of omicron.

Not at all, I see the ignorant memes you post and it makes me wonder how someone can easily fall for them... then I think of all the dead folks I know or were family to friends died from believing lies from folks that are vaccinated.
I know the irony is lost on you...

Steve did you see this info too?
It maybe milder for some.. but wouldn't you want to do everything you can to protect yourself?

Israeli researchers said they found that a three-shot course of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine provided significant protection against the new omicron variant.

Enough actually... and guess what not vaccinated, so the irony there? 1 is too many when they make poor choices and listen to Faux News.
They thought they were strong and wouldn't get it... but guess what they died.
I also have friends who have got it and are vaccinated and barely anything.
See how vaccines work?
Do you?
I don't think you truly do.
I do think it is sad of you to discount my friend's family members dying though. They miss them and talk about them.....

So, none then?

You are aware the 99.75% of people survive this virus right? And that number is heavily slanted toward a higher mortality rate because it ignores all unverified cases of rona. Omicron so far has a lower mortality rate than working on a movie with Alec Baldwin.
How many of those deaths could have been prevented if caregivers were allowed to administer known effective treatments that don't fit a particular political slant?

You understand that a real vaccination prevents reinfection right? I don't think you truly do.

Do you “do everything you can to protect yourself?” Think about that statement before answering. Nobody, NOBODY, does everything they can to protect themselves. If you did you wouldn’t drive or ride in a car ever again; that’s just one of many examples. I deal with deadly materials and risk in my career, and I deal with statistics. Risk mitigation is a very personal decision. What I consider risky you may not, and vice versa. I’m not pro- or anti-vax, but I am against government forcing one-size-fits-all risk decisions on everyone. Would you support a 10 mph national speed limit? It would prevent 40,000 deaths every year, so I assume you’d favor it, right? I also assume you’d support making alcohol and tobacco illegal, right? Might as well mandate exercise and make obesity a felony while we’re at it. If it saves one life…

For me what’s going on isn’t political. It’s not liberal vs conservative, or Trump vs Biden. It’s about freedom from government mandates and overreach. I served in the military to defend this country’s freedom, and I feel very strongly about it.

The division in this country saddens me, and it’s evident here more and more and in the entire response to COVID. I place a lot of blame on social media, mass media and self-serving politicians. I’d love to see two competent, intelligent, qualified candidates on the ballot for POTUS in three years, but I hold very little hope of that happening.

Well said Steve. The overreach being done is like nothing I thought I would ever see happen in this country. If it was really about the nations health fast food places would have been shut down years ago. It's all about control and manipulation. Our founders would have been burning their powder by now.

I told you I know people that have died and you write it off as a joke.
It shows once again you do not understand at all what a pandemic is and you think you are above it.
It shows you don't have the emotional capacity either and that speaks once again volumes about you.
It shows you truly don't understand vaccines.. how many are 100% effective VERY few..
I love you throw around that number...99.75% tell that to the 10,000+ that have died here in CO and all the exhausted medical staff dealing with the folks and their prayer warriors.

There is assumed risks in everything... but I do my best to protect and be aware of what I am up against.
So there is a WORLDWIDE pandemic... I am not going to put myself or my family at unneeded risk.
You wear a seatbelt? Why? Isn't that government over reach? Using your logic? That is a mandate, correct?
The military is REQUIRING the vaccine.. why Steve? Oh to protect the US and their men and women. When you served did you get all the vaccines? I bet you did.
Weird.
My point was to your post was that the 3rd shot AKA a booster WORKS.

And this 100% agree with you.
We will get Trump.... and the US will suffer because of that.

Not only has the junk assed fast food not been shut down but that shit has actually been promoted through this. That shit food was allowed to remain open but small time, and often using healthier ingredients, were told they couldn't.

If you do a deep dive into food production, you'd see the US sucks ass with regard to what our gov (FDA) allows to be added to our food products. It's why Americans are so over fed and under nourished. It can all be rooted back to what Steve pointed out about politicians being self-serving...and I'll expand that to accuse that of exacerbating the human nature of some taking advantage of rules/people when they can. There's no limit to what some people will do to others if they're allowed.

I do the same. Our personal risk assessment, and what constitutes risk abatement, is different for everyone. That's how it should be.

See, we can have a civil discussion about COVID and other topics without personal insults and attacks. That's how it should be.

Even this liberal left leaning news agrees. The problem has been exacerbated by the shots that just make you more susceptible to literally anything and top it off with a case of blood clots.

To answer the original question of "Is Corona Virus Over," I can say with certainty that most people in most of the country have moved on with their lives. I still travel at least monthly, and except for NY and CA, and a few select cities, I see almost nobody wearing masks, I see no limits on restaurant or event capacity, I see more and more people maskless inside airports, and most people I talk to are over it and just want to live their lives knowing there's some very small risk they're willing to accept to live free again. I read an article (I can't find it now) a few days again saying most Americans are over the pandemic, which is what I'm seeing and hearing on my travels.

Unfortunately too many politicians and the media keep stirring it up to stay relevant. We need to ignore them and move on with our lives.

Latest as of today from the CDC about the omicron variant:
The CDC studied 43 people infected with the variant, one of whom was hospitalized for two days, and found that the most commonly reported symptoms were cough, fatigue and congestion or a runny nose. More than three-quarters of the participants were fully vaccinated, and one-third of those people had also had booster shots, according to the CDC.
So, it's essentially a minor cold among mostly vaccinated people, but we should panic and get more shots.

No, I asked how many people from your daily life have passed from Covid and you chose not to answer, though you have regularly inferred that it is an astronomically high number. Do I need to go first? I know 3 people who have died;
-My wife's grandmother, 96 years of age with advanced cancer and dementia. She had rona 3 weeks before she died and had made a full recovery, death certificate says Covid.
- 87 year old gentleman from church/school. Also had stage 5 cancer, hospitalized and never given any treatment other than intebation, who knows what would have happened if the hospital had tried just one of the many known effective therapies that don't fit the political narrative.
- 68 year old gentleman, died from a reaction to the Phizer vaccine

You really want to play the moral high ground card? Irony

I do understand what a pandemic is, the definition is actually quite easy to look up. While you are at it you might want to look up endemic.
